I’m Thomas. I’m 42, travelling around Europe in a van I built, and working out what I want my days to look like.
I write, make videos and try things. Some become projects. Others continue travelling with me despite having been used only once.

Apparently the hurry starts in the car
I love how relaxed life feels in Portugal. Nobody seems to be in much of a hurry. Until they get into a car. Suddenly, everyone has somewhere very important to be. Preferably ahead of Petal.

My mood has a parking space
I’ve noticed that my mood now depends quite heavily on where I’ve parked. Or which town I’m in. Or which part of the coast. Same van, same person, same questionable decisions. Different surroundings. Different mood.

Four minutes of wounded professional pride
Four hours of sleep, a possible fever and some financial uncertainty. An excellent moment to apply for jobs I don’t want, in industries I don’t work in. Apparently.

So, Who is Thomas?
I’m Belgian, 42, an occasional surfer and an enthusiastic starter of projects that probably seemed simpler at the beginning.
I’ve lived and worked in Brussels, London, Paris and Berlin. In 2026, I got in a van I’d built myself and drove around Europe. Coming home turned out to be the complicated bit.
Now I’m back on the road, on my own, working out what I want to keep and what I’d rather do differently.
