One of the perks of living in Petal is choosing where to wake up.
Saturday evening, I found a lovely spot by the sea. Large parking lot. Almost empty. Quiet.
Excellent choice.
Sunday morning. 7am.
Sliding door open. Coffee made. Time for some people watching.
I love people watching.
Not people talking. Important distinction.
Cars started arriving. People with dogs, backpacks, walking shoes. Children who looked suspiciously awake.
Apparently, the French go walking on Sundays.
Early.
Fine by me. Plenty to watch.
More coffee.
But also more cars.
More people saying bonjour.
Interesting.
Right.
Coffee down. Sliding door closed. Engine on.
Off we go, in PJ’s and slippers.
